How to use URL parameters for filtering?By Milos Roksandic on 15/08/15 in

Tables can be filtered with query string that consists of “wdtColumnFilter[KEY]” value pairs where KEY is zero based numerical index of the column you would like to filter or initial column header. E.g.

?wdt_column_filter[1]=Asia&wdt_column_filter[country]=Thailand

Values passed from URL will be used as default filter values therefore “Advanced filtering” option needs to be enabled on table edit page.

Can this be done without turning on advanced filtering options? I need to be able to filter from url parameters, but I don’t want a filter box to show at the bottom of each column. Ideally, I’d like to be able to pass a string as a url parameter that will be searched across all columns like the default search box. Please advise. Thanks!
