wpDataTables 2025 Recap: Product Growth, Community, and What’s Next

Looking back on 2025, it feels like we’ve been on quite a journey together. For our team, this year was full of challenges, experiments, and small victories that reminded us why we love building wpDataTables.

We spent countless hours building updates that make your tables faster and smarter, testing integrations that simplify your workflows, and dreaming up new ways to help you work with data.

Along the way, we had the chance to meet many of you in person at conferences, hear your stories, and see firsthand how wpDataTables is used in real projects. Those conversations, full of ideas, questions, and sometimes even a laugh, kept us inspired and motivated every single day.

And yes, 2025 was also the year we took a bold step forward: launching IvyForms, a brand-new product built by our team, complete with a free integration for wpDataTables. Together, these tools are opening new ways to collect, visualize, and interact with data, and we can’t wait to see what you create.

It’s been a big year, but one we couldn’t have done without you. Here’s a look back at what we accomplished together in 2025.

Key Product Updates & Improvements

Over the year, we released 6 Pro updates, focused on performance, compatibility, usability, and extensibility. Some of the most important highlights include:

Performance & stability improvements

  • Improved performance by using a transient to check for updates once every 24 hours instead of on every page load
  • Avoided cookie sessions to ensure full DSGVO compliance

Security & infrastructure

  • Upgraded the PHPSpreadsheet library to a security-checked version
  • Updated Bootstrap Select to a newer, security-verified version for the Report Builder

New features & enhancements

  • Index Column added for easier table navigation
  • Loader customization with a new color option
  • Custom Fields support for WooCommerce Product Tables
  • Added Greek and Italian translations, expanding accessibility for international users

These updates didn’t just add new features. They made wpDataTables faster, safer, and more reliable for real-world use cases.

Add-ons: Performance & Compatibility Updates

Our add-ons are a key part of what makes wpDataTables so versatile and in 2025, we made sure they received the care and attention, just like our core plugin.

All wpDataTables add-ons received important improvements as well:

  • Performance optimization using 24-hour transient update checks
  • Ensured full compatibility with wpDataTables 7.3 across all add-ons

This ensures a smoother experience, no matter how complex your setup is.

A Clearer Pricing Experience

As wpDataTables grew, so did the number of features, add-ons, and ways people could use it. We realized that with all this power, the pricing page needed to tell a clear story, which helps users quickly see what’s available, what fits their needs, and how to make a confident choice.

In 2025, we set out to redesign the pricing page with simplicity and clarity in mind. Every layout change, every section, and every comparison was focused on one goal: making it easier for you to understand your options without second-guessing.

So now, our new pricing layout helps you:

  • Compare plans side by side
  • See exactly what’s included in each option
  • Understand which plan is the right fit for your workflow

Support & Communication Improvements

This year, we made a significant change behind the scenes by fully transitioning our support and communication from Ticksy to Gleap.

The move was driven by the need for faster, more contextual communication with our users. With Gleap, we’re able to collect feedback directly where issues happen, respond more quickly, and better understand the context behind each request, whether it’s a bug report, a question, or a feature suggestion.

As a result, support conversations have become more efficient and more meaningful, helping us stay closer to real user needs and continuously improve wpDataTables based on direct, actionable input.

Introducing the wpDataTables Developer Community

One of the most important milestones this year was the launch of the wpDataTables Developer Community.

This community is designed specifically for developers who want to build add-ons and integrations for wpDataTables, monetize their work by offering solutions to thousands of wpDataTables users, and collaborate directly with our team and influence the future of the product

If you’re a developer who enjoys extending WordPress products and turning ideas into real value, this is just the beginning, and we’re actively inviting creators to join and build with us.

Just fill out the addon or the integration form and let’s build something incredible together!

New Partnerships

In 2025, we continued expanding the wpDataTables ecosystem through new strategic partnerships with Command UI, WP Umbrella, WP Connect, InstaWP, and Modular DS.

Each of these collaborations was built around a shared goal: making everyday WordPress workflows more efficient for developers, agencies, and teams working with data-heavy sites. By connecting wpDataTables with tools that focus on management, automation, staging, and modular development, we’re creating more flexible setups that fit naturally into existing workflows.

These partnerships go beyond simple integrations. They represent long-term collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a stronger ecosystem where wpDataTables works seamlessly alongside the tools our users already rely on.

Conferences & Community Presence

For wpDataTables, 2025 was about stepping out of dashboards and into real conversations.

Throughout the year, we joined WordPress events around the world, using them as an opportunity to listen closely to how developers, agencies, and businesses work with data in real-life projects. From WordCamp Asia and a meetup in Dubai to WordCamp Europe, and local meetups such as Vršac, Gdynia, Athens, and Wrocław, these events gave us direct insight into the challenges people face when working with complex data, reporting, and visualization in WordPress.

What stood out most wasn’t just where we went, but what we learned. Seeing wpDataTables in action across different industries and use cases helped validate existing decisions and sparked new ideas for future improvements. Conversations that started at conference booths and coffee breaks often turned into product feedback, integration ideas, and long-term relationships.

Being present in the WordPress community continues to play a key role in how wpDataTables evolves and 2025 reinforced just how valuable those face-to-face connections are.

IvyForms: A New Product Built by the wpDataTables Team

This year also marked the launch of IvyForms, a brand-new product created by the same team behind wpDataTables.

IvyForms was built to make form creation simpler, cleaner, and more flexible, and it comes with a free integration with wpDataTables, allowing you to:

  • Create tables directly from form submissions
  • Turn collected data into structured, interactive tables instantly
  • Combine powerful data visualization with effortless data collection

This integration opens up entirely new workflows for users who rely on forms and data reporting.

A New Chapter: From TMS to Melograno

from tms to melograno ecosystem timeline

This year marked an important shift beyond product updates, as TMS officially became Melograno. This move marks a change that reflects how the company has grown and where it’s headed next.

Melograno is Italian for pomegranate, a fruit full of color, flavor, and countless seeds, each holding the potential to grow into something remarkable. Just like a pomegranate, we take an idea, plant it carefully, nurture it, and watch it grow into a product that evolves, scales, and reaches far beyond where it started. Every seed carries possibilities, just as every line of code, every feature, and every update carries the potential to create real impact for our users.

This philosophy mirrors how wpDataTables has grown over the years: through steady iteration, thoughtful decisions, and a deep connection to the needs of real users. Each improvement, from small usability tweaks to major feature releases, reflects our commitment to building something that truly helps people work with data more efficiently.

At its heart, Melograno represents the values that guide everything we do:

  • Integrity – being transparent, consistent, and accountable in how we build and communicate
  • Progress – continuously learning, innovating, and pushing ourselves to improve
  • Dedication – staying committed to delivering reliable, high-quality products
  • Support & collaboration – helping each other succeed and turning individual efforts into shared achievements
  • Freedom – empowering teams to take ownership, experiment, and innovate

With this new chapter, our name may have changed, but our commitment hasn’t. Melograno, and wpDataTables within it, continues to grow with care, purpose, and an unwavering focus on real-world value.

Record-Breaking Downloads in September

September 2025 was a standout month for wpDataTables Lite, with a record 12,136 downloads—our highest ever in a single month in 2025.

This milestone shows the growing interest from WordPress users exploring wpDataTables for the first time. Whether trying out tables for personal projects, client sites, or testing the plugin before upgrading to Pro, every download represents a new user discovering how wpDataTables can simplify data management and reporting.

A Birthday Thank You

Every year, wpDataTables’ birthday is a chance to celebrate the progress we couldn’t have made without you.

Last year, we said thank you with a giveaway. This year, we’re keeping the party going with something just as special: a birthday discount to help more users unlock the full power of wpDataTables, so stay tuned.

It’s a small token of appreciation for the developers, agencies, and site builders who trust wpDataTables to manage, visualize, and share their data every day. Your ideas, feedback, and real-world use cases are what keep us improving, innovating, and pushing forward, year after year.

Looking Ahead: What’s Planned for Next Year

As we close out 2025, the wpDataTables team is already looking forward to the year ahead. 2026 promises more flexibility, more power, and smarter ways to work with data.

Some of the key improvements we’re focused on include:

  • New chart types to give users even more options for visualizing their data
  • Bootstrap version upgrades for enhanced security, performance, and compatibility
  • Further performance optimizations to make large tables load faster and work seamlessly
  • API and REST API improvements to help developers integrate wpDataTables more efficiently into complex workflows
  • AI-powered features that simplify data handling and provide smarter insights
  • Enhanced table and chart display in Gutenberg blocks, making it easier to embed dynamic content directly into posts and pages

Each of these initiatives is designed to make wpDataTables not just a plugin you use but a tool that empowers you to do more with less effort. We can’t wait to bring these enhancements to life and see how our community puts them to work.

Thank You for Being Part of the Journey

None of what we achieved this year would have been possible without our incredible users, developers, partners, and community members.

Your feedback, support, and creativity drive everything we do, from the smallest bug fix to the biggest feature release. Every table created, every integration built, and every conversation had helps wpDataTables grow stronger and more useful for everyone.

Thank you for trusting us, sharing your ideas, and being part of this journey. Here’s to another year of innovation, collaboration, and making data work smarter for everyone. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
